PM Birthday: Narendra Modi– Simplicity in Routine, Diet, and Attire
PM Modi Birthday: The country's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, was born on 17 September 1950 in the small town of Vadnagar in Gujarat. His life was very simple in childhood. His father used to sell tea at the railway station and often young Narendra also reached there to help. Despite financial constraints, he did not give up studying and hard work. This struggle later took him to the biggest responsibility of the country.
Modi's day starts very early. He wakes up at around 5 am. Yoga is an important part of his life. Many times he has also promoted it publicly. He starts the morning with yoga and meditation. It is believed that he likes to walk barefoot on grass and water. This practice symbolizes the connection with the five elements of nature - earth, water, air, fire and sky. He believes that a few minutes of meditation helps to calm the mind and stay focused throughout the day.
An example of his love for yoga is Ashtanga Namaskar. He has been seen doing this posture many times before entering a temple. In this, eight body parts touch the ground. It is a part of Surya Namaskar and makes the body flexible and strong.
Even after becoming the Prime Minister, his routine is as disciplined as before. After yoga and meditation in the morning, his whole day is spent in meetings, reviewing schemes and visiting different states or villages. He often communicates directly with the public. Going to villages and small towns and meeting people helps him understand the real impact of the schemes. His schedule is so busy that every minute is preplanned.
Modi is a strict vegetarian. His diet is very simple. He likes to eat light and nutritious food. Khichdi and Dhokla are his favorite dishes. He also takes fruits, light soup and salad throughout the day. He always stays away from habits like alcohol and tobacco. He believes that simple food is best for health and it helps to get through a long day.
Modi's dress also reflects his simplicity. He often wears a half-sleeved kurta and Nehru jacket, which people have now started calling a 'Modi jacket.' On special occasions like Independence Day or Republic Day, he wears a safa or a colorful turban. His clothes reflect Indian culture and he exudes confidence.
Despite a busy schedule, he does not compromise on fitness. Apart from yoga, walking and stretching are part of his daily routine. He believes that keeping the body active is the easiest way to stay fit throughout the day. This is the reason why he works with full energy even on long and tiring days.
After becoming the Prime Minister, Modi started many big campaigns. The most prominent among them is the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,' started in 2014. This campaign promoted cleanliness and toilet construction in the country. Apart from this, he took initiatives like 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' for tree plantation. He believes that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect the environment and raise awareness in the society.
Narendra Modi's life is an example of the fact that any big goal can be achieved with simplicity, rules and hard work. He has always given importance to small changes. He says that only continuous efforts bring big results. This thinking makes him an ideal for the youth. September 17 is not just Narendra Modi's birthday. It is also the day of his life, struggle and dedication towards work. His story of rising from an ordinary family to reaching the highest responsibility of the country inspires every person who wants to make dreams a reality. Modi's life tells us that with simplicity and discipline any person can do great work.
Many best wishes and congratulations to the Prime Minister of India on his 75th birthday.
